Why do Residents Receive a Discount?
On June 22, 1967 citizens within the cottonwood heights area voted to pay additional
property taxes in order to build a community recreation facility.
To this day, the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area is supported
partially through the funds collected for this purpose.
Anyone living within the district is entitled to a membership discount because
of paying additional property taxes for these parks and recreation services.
An elected Board of Trustees regulates and distributes the funds.
If you are unsure if you are considered a resident of this taxing district,
check the boundaries provided on this website or call 801.943.3190 ext. 0.
