Tri the Heights Sprint Triathlon 
We had our first annual Tri Sprint on Sat. June 1, 2013. The 129 participants Swam 400 meters, biked 10.9 miles, and ran a 5k. They also received a dry tech short sleeve shirt and a swag bag. Awards were given for 1st-3rd male/female overall, in age divisions, and in weight divisions. Click here to see results.

Outdoor Pools Now Open for the Summer
The outdoor pools opened for the summer on May 24, 2013. Come swim outside---but don't forget the sunscreen---then soak in the sun all summer long!(We have 3 month memberships now, too.)

Summer Facility Hours Began May 24
Summer is finally here and so are our summer facility hours. We are now in our summer facility hour schedule.(Note that public open plunge and public ice skating hours differ from facility hours, and will not change to our summer schedule fully until later on this summer.) This will mean that we will close at 8pm on Fri. and Sat. May 24, 2013-Sept.2, 2013 (Labor Day.) Please schedule your workout hours accordingly.

CHAT Swim Invitational Held at CHRC June 12-15
See our seasoned and winning Cottonwood Heights Aquatics Team (CHAT) at the annual CHAT Swim Invitational June 12-15. The outdoor pools will close for this event June 12 at 5pm and open plunge hours outside will vary June 13-15. Indoor pools will be open during any closed regular outdoor open plunge pool hours, so please check our pool schedules for more info. Come participate as a CHAT member or watch this exciting event in June!

CH Foundation Charity Golf Tournament
The 10th Annual Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the River Oaks Golf Course on Wed., Aug. 28, 2013.
Whether you are a corporation or individual, everyone is invited to participate in this fun, yet worthwhile event. The Tournament is a four person shotgun scramble. All participants will be treated to a continental breakfast before golf, a great goody bag, and the exciting prize-packed VCBO lunch afterwards. 1st place team members will each receive a $50.00 gift certificate; 2nd place and 2nd flight team members will each receive a $25.00 gift certificate; 3rd place team members will each receive awards. There will also be other men's and women's contests: Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Putting Contest---each winner will get a $50.00 gift certificate for each contest. The CHRC Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization that provides financial assistance to families and children, giving them the opportunity to utilize the Rec Center and participate in lessons or programs there. Donations from the Foundation help enhance Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation area facilities as well. This past year the Foundation was able to assist many families struggling with life crisis's to maintain some form of normalcy with a Center membership. Many sponsorship level opportunities are outlined in our brochure, which may be picked up at one of our desks soon.
