Parks and Rec Kids' Camp Recreation Leader and Supervisor

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Non-seasonal, part-time, flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. No benefits.

SALARY: Staring at $9.25-$10.40/hour for leaders, $10.18-$11.44/hour for Supervisors

Camp Starts the end of May and runs through mid-August. Shifts are 9:00am-1:45pm and 1:15pm-5:15pm, Monday-Friday

Option to work for our after-school program during the school year available.

Trainings occurring as early as late April.

  • Must be at least 15 years old.
  • Enjoys working with children, leading them through various sporting activities, swimming and ice skating. 
  • Tact and good public relations skills.
  • Able to work outdoors.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Responsible, dependable, patient and cooperative. Works well with others.
  • Desire to teach sports and other activities to children.
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude to participants.
  • Must possess a current American Red Cross First-Aid Certification or be willing to attain it upon request.

1. Setup and takedown of camp areas.
2. Check-in participants.
3. Directly supervise all activities.
4. Enforce established safety rules and policies.
5. Handle accidents appropriately. Apply necessary first aid and complete accident reports.
6. Assist on-site supervisor as assigned.
7. Keep park and playing areas clean and presentable.
