Cottonwood Heights Youth Soccer Pathway
"Rec" level youth soccer for Pre-K through 8th grade!
Cottonwood Heights Youth Soccer prioritizes and promotes the "rec" element of soccer, striving to provide an experience that encourages a focus on enjoyment and love of the game, instead of on wins and losses.
New League Parameters - Effective Fall 2022
Effective for the fall 2022 season, the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area (CHPRSA) will start an in-house youth soccer program. This will end a 45-year relationship with the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).
The Cottonwood Heights Youth Soccer program, as managed by CHPRSA, will have exclusive use of Cottonwood Heights field spaces for its purposes, meaning that all rec-league practices, games, and activities will happen at Butler Park in the fall and spring seasons.
UYSA Membership - Starting Fall 2022
CHPRSA is excited with the opportunity to manage and grow the “beautiful game” on a local level, with local influence, as a new member of the statewide Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA). UYSA is sanctioned by the U.S. Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer to be the governing body of soccer in Utah, and is also recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee as the governing body for youth soccer in our state. As a member of this state-wide organization, CHYS will receive referee resources, training and certification, coaches training and resources, equipment leads, among other benefits, in an effort to provide the best possible recreation soccer experience to the Cottonwood Heights community.
