POSITION OPENING PARKS/LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

PAY RATE: $18.81 – $23.51/hour (dependent upon experience)

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s license.  High school diploma or equivalent.  Familiar with power driven machinery and gas powered lawn equipment. Minimum of 1 year in turf management. Irrigation maintenance experience highly preferred. Experience in building maintenance and landscaping. Supervisory experience.  Approved Criminal Background Check 

POSITION PURPOSE: Main purpose for this position is to maintain Service Area parks and grounds efficiently to provide a safe, clean and comfortable atmosphere for patrons as needed. May be assigned to and supervise a specific park or area in the Service Area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

1. Regular daily turf maintenance. Mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, irrigation, cleaning and other duties as necessary

2. Competes refurbishment and major cleaning duties as assigned by the Parks Manager or Executive Director 3. Ensures major upkeep and cleaning duties of pavilions, restrooms and assigned areas are completed as needed

4. Performs safety inspections and minor repairs on playground equipment as needed

5. Supervises part time seasonal employees, ensuring daily duties and responsibilities are completed

6. During non-park season, will assist with refurbishment projects for the Service Area Facility

7. During non-park season, will assist with snow removal and scheduled hours will be adjusted to meet the needs of the Service Area.
